    WATCH THE TRAILER

  • 𝗟𝗔𝗥𝗚𝗢 is a short film that explores the refugee crisis through the eyes of a child. Our goal has not only been to tell a story that inspires empathy for refugees, but to do so in a way that breaks through echo chambers.

In his acting debut, 𝗭𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗘𝗹𝘀𝗼𝗸𝗮𝗿𝗶 brings vulnerability, courage, and an unshakeable sense of adventure to the lead role, making it impossible for any audience not to feel responsible for our young protagonist – even audiences who are not already supportive or welcoming of refugees. But this isn’t a one-sided narrative. The film explores the reasons why the refugee crisis has divided communities and humanises both sides of the debate – which are embodied by legendary British actors 𝗧𝗮𝗺𝘀𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗴 (Episodes, Friday Night Dinner) and 𝗞𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗰𝗡𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 (Pirates Of The Caribbean).

Written and Directed by Salvatore Scarpa and Max Burgoyne-Moore

  • WHAT THE STUDENTS THINK...

To engage younger audiences who might not be familiar with these complex issues, we’re taking 𝗟𝗔𝗥𝗚𝗢 directly into schools across the UK.

Screenings will be paired with educational workshops to create a space for meaningful conversations and fresh perspectives.

𝗟𝗔𝗥𝗚𝗢 is a short film that’s as exciting as it is thought-provoking, with a powerful message about the importance of empathy that we believe will resonate with audiences around the world. We can’t wait to share it with you.
